The CICATS Research Toolkit is designed to link investigators, staff and trainees to translational research resources. To develop the CICATS toolkit, we customized a widely used Research Toolkit developed by the Medical University of South Carolina Clinical & Translational Research Institute (SCTR). We thank SCTR for providing the code, as well as valuable input and guidance.
The toolkit covers the research process, including pre-award/grants, regulatory, study conduct, closeout and dissemination. Content is being developed by a team from CICATS and CICATS partner organizations with expertise in grants, human subjects research, research administration, clinical research conduct, community research, biosafety, animal research, library services, and more.
During this pilot phase, we continue to enhance and refine the toolkit. Although some areas remain "under construction", we encourage you to review the toolkit and provide feedback by completing a brief feedback survey, selecting "feedback" (above right), or e-mailing cicats@uchc.edu.
The Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS) is a regional initiative organized by the University of Connecticut Health Center in partnership with regional hospitals, state agencies and community healthcare organizations. CICATS supports collaborative research aimed at improving health outcomes and eliminating health disparities in the Greater Hartford Region.
